Percentage of Latin American workers employed in the health care and social assistance industry

Before the pandemic, visible minorities were overrepresented in these occupations—34% of workers identified as visible minorities, compared with 21% in all other occupations.

In January 2021, 12.9 percent of employed Latin Americans worked in the health care and social assistance industry, compared with 14% of all workers.
